Nikos Voukelatos was born and lives in Athens, Greece. At the age of 6, he started his studies in classical guitar at the National Conservatory of Athens for a period of 8 years. As a teenager, he participated in groups, mainly of British and Indie pop/rock. He has been playing professionally in Greek traditional music – the rebetiko scene – for 20 years. In 2015, he graduated from the Peristeri Conservatory in the Jazz section on modern electric guitar. Since 2005, he has been playing and composing finger-style acoustic guitar.
